Regular Music Session at the Pub

Music Sessions

We cherish the joy of sitting around and playing music together, which is why we host lively music sessions. Whether you’re drawn to the sounds of Scottish and Irish sessions or interested in our Celtic Jam for Beginners, we have the session for you. Need an instrument? Feel free to borrow one of the musical instruments from our wall.

Check out the list below for the nightly schedule.

Old Time Jam

TUESDAYS AT 6.30PM
HOSTED BY SARAH PIRKLE

This strings-only session captures the historic sound of Appalachia and showcases one of the oldest forms of music in North America. Sarah Pirkle, East Tennessee Writers Hall of Famer, guides this session with her fiddle, guitar, and mandolin expertise, so musicians can sit, pick and strum as a collective. We mostly play Old Time fiddle tunes; everyone jams at once. Open to all lovers and players of music. No need to build up the courage to join in; just grab an instrument off the wall and take a seat.

Open Mic Singer Songwriter Night

WEDNESDAYS AT 7.00PM
HOSTED BY CULLEN KEHOE

Join us every Wednesday at 7 PM for our acoustic-based Singer-Songwriter Open Mic. Sign-up begins at 6 pm, and we have room for 20 performers per night. We also have a piano on stage available.

Irish Sessions

1ST AND 3RD THURSDAYS AT 7.15PM
HOSTED BY CHAD BAUCHAINE & GILL DRAPER

Come listen to the familiar tunes of Ireland with fiddle, guitar, bodhran, flute, accordion, and dulcimer every other Thursday night. Musicians play to enjoy and preserve the cultural heritage that the Scots-Irish brought to America generations ago.

Scottish Sessions

2ND AND 4TH THURSDAYS AT 7.15PM
HOSTED BY DAVID PICKENS

A proud tradition, Scots love nothing more than music and drink. Whether lyrics or no lyrics, every song tells a story. The hills of East Tennessee are a home away from home for this style.
