Our Whisky Sommelier Kerry will be in the bar every Thursday for Dram Day; where you can sample any of our scotch whiskies by the half ounce. She will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and guide you through the extensive whisky list.

Kerry also hosts our monthly whisky events in the Green Room which generally alternate between Bourbon and Scotch. Some of our most popular recent events have included a Scotch & Chocolate flight and Bacon & Bourbon pairing.

Kerry Schumacher is a native scot who traveled to the USA after a whirl-wind romance with her American sweetheart brought her to Tennessee in 2012.

She graduated from Queen Margaret University in 2009 with an honors degree in business management; specializing in the hospitality and tourism industry.  An initial area of study for Kerry was food tourism and in particular Scottish food and drink. Shortly after graduation Kerry formed her own company aimed at connecting tourists with local producers and suppliers of artisanal food and drinks. It was here that her love of Scotch whisky was born.

Her tours eventually led to a fully-fledged career in the whisky industry when she became the whisky columnist for Scottish Field Magazine and Managed the Scottish Field Whisky Challenge in 2011. The competition culminated with an awards dinner for over 100 of the whisky industries top brand ambassadors and distillers. One of the highlights of her career so far was being asked to be a judge for the Spirit of Speyside whisky competition in 2012.

Now working with the team at Boyd’s Jig and Reel in Knoxville, TN; Kerry specializes in world whiskies and hosts monthly tasting classes as well as coordinating the whisky program for the pub. She recently completed her Level 2 award in Wines & Spirits and is currently studying for her Certified Specialist of Spirits award.
